Tuning Fork – Om

This ‘Cosmic Ohm’ tuning fork resonates with the universal Ohm sound. This tuning fork is remarkably effective during meditation, in connecting with universal forces, (inner) travel, and during energy work by a healer.

The Ohm sound is the basis of all mantras and even the language in India. By repeating this sound, we become emotionally and mentally calm, we can overcome obstacles and gain insights. Since time immemorial, people in India were given this sound to meditate on, and it also came naturally, from within when they came into contact with the higher realms. Effects include relaxation, soothing, balance and unwinding.

This unweighted tuning fork gives a vibration of C-sharp (C#), in the midrange of 136.10 Hz. In the ‘Chakra set’ (article no. 19029) this is the tuning fork for the heart chakra. The color that goes with it is blue-green.

Unweighted tuning forks work more on the subtle body and have less of a physical vibration, which resonates more subtly when the shaft is placed directly on the body. The tone doesn’t last as long, but it is more focused and concrete. These types of tuning forks are excellent to use for better mental and emotional health and balance, as well as promoting spiritual well-being and inner harmony.

To strike them, you can gently strike two tuning forks together, or strike them against the Tuning Fork Activator.
