“This is a journey of remembering your ancestors and acknowledging that the medicine they cultivated, carried, and honoured was truly the heart of who they were. Deeply connected to the land and its resources, they created ceremonies to celebrate these relationships which we now know as the spring & fall equinox and the summer & winter solstice.

During the creation of these cards, I realized that for many years my focus was specifically on the heart of each flower. This was the aspect that I found extraordinary in its beauty and somehow was calling me home to enter the portal of my own heart. Simultaneously, I came to realize that the heart of the flower was also the yoni, where fertilization takes place upon a sacred altar. This is the perfect symbol for each of us to recognize that whatever we create must first align with our hearts!

Every day you can begin by offering up gratitude to be able to work and co-create with the plant kingdom, spirits, and flowers. Recognize that you have the honour of growing, tending, celebrating, and appreciating both their beauty and medicine. While saving their seeds and receiving their gifts, listen to their wisdom stories.

Acknowledge and remember your ancestors and all of the women and men before you, and together with so many open hearts and hands tend to Mother Earth and her elements, remembering that you are forever deeply connected!”
