Celtic Trinity Knot Rainbow Bells
The intricate designs of Celtic knots are often said to represent the endless cycle of life, death, and rebirth, as well as the interconnectedness of all things in the natural world. In Irish culture specifically, Celtic knots have a deep significance and are often associated with the ancient Celtic gods and goddesses.
The triquetra, also known as a “Irish Trinity Knot”, is often found as a design element in popular Irish jewelry such as claddaghs and other wedding or engagement rings. It can be recognised by the three interconnected “leaves” making a form that can’t be untied. The Trinity knot is symbolic of the threefold nature of the Goddess as mother, maiden, and crone. It also symbolises never-ending love.
Bells can be used for a number of reasons, both in everyday and spiritual practices. Bells can be placed on doors to welcome in guests, or, according to some beliefs, rung at thresholds to ward off evil spirits. They can be used as sound therapy to clear a room’s energy and at the start of a meditation to call in peace and focus, or simply hung in an open window for pleasant background noise. Traditionally, bells were used to mark special occurrences, so the next time you surpass a life goal or even just make it through a difficult day, try ringing a bell to celebrate the occasion!
